What happens after you match with a job?

After you match with a job in your pepelwerk people app there are different stages you can expect to go through in the process from Job Match to Job Offer. They include:

Job Match – Invited Stage

With a free membership, the company has the first say when a job match occurs. This means both of you can see the job match, but the company must swipe right to accept first before you can accept the match. However, you can reject the job match at any time.

After you receive a match invitation, make sure to respond promptly so that you can move to the next stage: Interview

Job Match – Showed Interest

You can show interest in a job if you have a preferred membership. This means that after you match with a job you do not need to wait for the company to invite you. Instead, you can take the initiative and show interest first which alerts the hiring manager of your interest, putting you in front of other candidates. The hiring manager will then have the option to invite you to the next stage: Interview

Interview Stage

Once both, you and the company have accepted a match, an interview request can be initiated. The company will choose an interview-style option: Phone, Video Meeting, Match Event, or In-Person and they will propose three different dates and times for you to choose from.

You will get an alert in your app and via email. Choose one of the three options to accept the interview. A calendar invitation will be sent to your email. Remember to save it to your calendar. You will also be able to access your interview information from your app inside Work & Earn – Interviews.

If none of the three options fit your availability, you will have the option to request new times, reschedule or cancel the interview.

Tip: make sure to review the notes section for important information regarding your interview.

After the interview is complete, the company will have the option to interview again, pass or give you a job offer.

Offer Stage

Congratulations! This means the company has decided to extend a job offer. You will receive an alert in your app and via email. You can see the job offer details from your app inside Work & Earn – Offers. This is also where you will respond to the offer to accept or reject. The job offer will be stored in your Document Center.

If you accept a full-time job offer all other full-time jobs in your Matches, Opportunities, Interviews, and Offers will be closed and moved to Missed Opportunity and you won’t match with any more full-time jobs. If you want to start matching with full-time jobs again, go to Work Profile. Tap the pencil icon to edit your Work Availability and update your Work Commitment to Full-Time.

Important: If you do not want to actively match with any jobs for a while, turn off your Talent Profile Status. Go to Talent Profile -> Tap the pencil icon to edit -> Scroll down and turn off Talent Profile Status.

Missed Opportunity Stage

Anytime you or the company reject a job match, pass after an interview or reject a job offer, the job match will be moved to Missed Opportunity. This is a place where you can track and learn from these missed opportunities. You also have the option to mark it as a Goal Job.

Goal Jobs

Here is where you save and track your goal job(s). You can mark a job as a Goal Job when you see it in your Matches, Opportunities, Interviews, or Offers. The company-related details will be removed, but you will retain the job title, skills, attributes, and attitude. You will also have the option to add the missing skills to your Learner Profile to get education recommendations to get the skills you need to get your goal job. Add multiple Goal Jobs and remove saved ones at any time.
