pepelwerk (people work) is a technology and service company dedicated to creating an equitable working world.
At pepelwerk, we see people as a myriad of complex and awesome features that make each of us unique. More importantly, we work every day to see that vision come to life. We are not interested in carrying forward historical wrongdoings. we are only interested in working towards an inclusive future. We focus on reducing discrimination, racial targeting and unintentional bias in the working world. This includes access to jobs, career growth, education and economic opportunities to improve financial health.
A social principle that assumes that life experiences are accessible to all, free from bias or favoritism.
A condition where there is not uniformity of thoughts, ideals, life experiences, cultural norms or ethnicity.
The act or practice of including and reasonably accommodating people who have historically been excluded based on their race, gender, sexual orientation, nationality or class/income level.
A view that everyone should have access to economic opportunities, be governed or participate in government and engage in the communities in which they live and work, free from bias or favoritism.
Acting against the systemic oppression of marginalized groups.
The pepelwerk software experience, along with its use of ethical AI and psychometric tools, is designed to match people based on their capacity to meet job requirements. Personal information is only revealed to a company once they match with a candidate. Furthermore, candidates can choose to share personal demographic information with the company only after they are hired.
We do this because sourcing, screening or targeting anyone based on external characteristics, self-reported race, mental capacity or participation in distinct classifications of groups should not be a disqualifying factor in the screening process. Instead, this information should be used to identify systemic infrastructure issues that support inequitable access to economic success and the tools and resources required to achieve it.
We encourage our visitors, users, customers and partners to learn more about themselves and their communities. Below are resources that we believe can help us all become informed about what makes each of us unique while bringing us together through understanding. Please note that some of these resources are global, while others are specific to the United States; be sure to review resources from your local country for similar information.
